Education about consent should be given to all students

Extra Information: Classes about consent and the importance of respecting boundaries should form a part of the induction period for new students. This will help to increase people's respect for each other and reduce incidents of sexual assaults. These classes could take the form of e-learning. I believe they should be mandatory.

This Idea opened on 20th September 2017 and closed for voting on 11th October 2017.
This Idea scored a 3rd which means it's not a priority for the time being.
The Executive has agreed to give this Idea a conditional pass. Work will start on this Idea unless it is vetoed by two-thirds of the Student Council Meeting on 28 Nov 2017. Click here for more info
November 2017: Student Council sent this Idea back to its proposer with a request to clarify the phrase "consent" and to be more specific as whether this would be mandatory. The Idea has been returned to the original proposer who is in discussion with the SU and DPC as to how best to continue.
December 2017: The Idea proposer has agreed to the following amendment to this Idea which will be discussed at the Student Council Meeting on 06 Feb 2018: “Lobby to make sex and relationships education a mandatory part of the e-induction for all students moving into UWE accommodation”
Student Council agreed to pass this Idea. This Idea is now Students’ Union policy and has been sent to The Executive for work to begin.
